Dear Parents, Guardians, Community Member, and Guests: 


           At John Muir Elementary School, we provide a positive and safe learning environment with high expectations to prepare ALL students academically and socially to be College and Career Ready Graduates. 


Ourstaff membersarededicated inproviding the best education possible so that each of our students can be successful. Our school is very fortunate to have a nurturing, professional, and highly qualified team of teachers and support staff. Our Vision is that all staff will promote a culture of learning with high expectations through collaboration, relationship building, and student engagement, while fostering a growth mindset to ensure success for all students. 


We offer many learning opportunities including differentiated instruction, writing experiences, field trips, assemblies, special events, and activities. Through the coordinated efforts of our staff, parents, and community, we are able to provide a wide array of learning and enrichment activities that take place here at John Muir.  Our educational opportunities include art, music, physical education, and computer technology, with additional programs such as the after school program.  


          Please take time to go over our policies and procedures at John Muir Elementary School and our Fresno Unified School District parent handbook, as these policies and procedures are important to our school culture and climate. 


         We are dedicated to help with every academic need of our students and foster the parent partnership with their education. I look forward in working with you this school year.
