After School Programs

Extended Day Enrichment Program (EDEP)

Purpose and Goals

The Extended Day Enrichment Program provides quality childcare and educational enrichment activities for school-age children before and after school. The program operates on a daily basis to coincide with the regular school calendar. Staffing is provided by qualified Site Coordinators who work closely with their Instructional Assistants to develop an enrichment program tailored to the needs of the school aged-child.

Activities

Program activities are planned to reflect school site and district goals. Activities are presented in a relaxed atmosphere with participation available in various subjects areas such as art, science, math, reading, drama, and social studies. Homework time, a healthy snack, and indoor/outdoor play time are also built into the program.

Curriculum

The Extended Day Enrichment Program curriculum emphasizes the development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and recreational skills that are developentally appropiate for children.

Program Fees

Morning Care

  • 7am-9am...................................$110

Afternoon Care: 3pm-6pm

  • Up to 2 hours............................$150
  • Up to 3 hours............................$180

  • Automated EFT Payment - VISA, MasterCard, and Discover (Please fill out EFT form)
  • Money Order
  • Cash (Can be made only at the Department of Extended Learning and exact change only)

We gladly accept payments from CalWorks, Children's Services Network, PACE, and Supportive Services. (Paperwork must be completed before registration)

After School Green Shack Program

Purpose and Goals

The FUSD After School Greenshack Program provides structured tutorial and enrichment programming for school-age children at many Fresno Unified School District school sites.  Programs are staffed by paraprofessionals who provide homework tutorial, enrichment, and other activities. 

Days of Operation 

The FUSD After School Greenshack Program operates on school days only. The programs operate on a daily basis to coincide with the regular school calendar, and operate from the end of the school day until the end of the program.  Students participating in the FUSD After School Greenshack Program are required to participate in all the components of the program
