To give your student the best opportunity for success, please make every effort to ensure that your student is in school and on time every day. While it's difficult when children miss school, it is important that a child who is ill be kept home. If a child has a fever of 100 degrees or higher within the last 24 hours, the student should not attend school.

Call our 24-hour Attendance Line at 248-7031 to report each day absent.

Regular school attendance is part of the transfer policy agreement signed by each parent for their child to attend a magnet school such as Bullard TALENT.

Students are expected to arrive prepared for school. Kindergarten instruction begins at 9:12 a.m. and Grades 1-8 at 9:15 a.m. Any student arriving after these identified times is considered tardy. From 9:15 - 9:30 a.m., late students must go to a tardy station to receive an admit slip to class. Students arriving after 9:30 a.m. should go to the office.

Students arriving late to school due to a doctor/dentist appointment should bring a note from that office to excuse the tardy.

If a student is checked out anytime during the day and up to 30 minutes before dismissal, it will effect your student's attendance.  If it pertains to an appointment, please return with a doctor's note to clear their attendance.  This does count towards perfect attendance.

Students are awarded perfect attendance at the end of first and second quarters, and the whole year. To receive perfect attendance a child must have no absences and no tardies, unless the tardy is accompanied by a doctor's appointment slip.
