Birney Parents:
Our staff and students have been hard at work to ensure our students are learning and demonstrating good character. Recently, our students in 1st-6th grade took our District Assessment, Interim, where we had growth in both ELA and Math. When looking at all students learning, we had an increase of 6.5% in ELA and a 2.6% increase in Math.
Please continue to volunteer in your child's classroom, if possible. Teachers appreciate the help and your child would enjoy having you in their classroom. Make sure to ask them what they are learning, why they are learning it, and how will they know they learned it.

Be HERE and ON TIME
Our attendance rate was very strong as we started the year, but has steadily been declining. Our goal for Birney is to have a 95%-96% Daily Attendance Rate.
Daily attendance and being on time is vital in making sure students are able to take full advantage of their learning and prepare them to be college and career ready graduates.
We appreciate your help in ensuring you child gets to school every day and on time.

El personal y alumnos estan trabajando duro para asegurarse que los alumnos esten aprendiendo y demostrando buenas cualidades. Recientemente, nuestros alumnos en 1st-6th grade tomaron la evaluacion del districto, Interim tuvimos un aumento en ELA y matematicas. El aprendizaje de los alumnos ha aumentado 6.5% in ELA y 2.6% en matematicas.
Siga sirviendo como voluntario en el salon de su hijo, si es possible. Los maestros aprecian la ayuda y su hijo disfrutara que este en el salon. Pregunteles que estan aprendiendo, por que lo estan aprendiendo, y como saben que lo aprendieron.

Nuestra nivel de asistencia ha sido muy alta al comenzar el ano pero gradualmente esta bajando. Nuestro objetivo para Birney es 95%-96% nivel de asistencia diaria.
Asistencia diaria y siendo punctual es vital para que los alumnos aprovechen al maximo de aprender, estar preparados para el colegio, y ser graduados preparados para su carera.
